To lose 1 pound weight every week you have to burn 500 more calories each day. It is said that you need to burn 3500 calories for a 1 pound weight loss. So to lose one pound weight you need to burn 500 calories per day.

You can do this in a number of ways. Change your eating habits, change your activities, change your lifestyle.

How to change your eating habits.?

Eat a good big healthy breakfast. It has been shown in studies that people who have a big breakfast lose more weight than those who have a small breakfast. The reason is that on a full stomach you tend not to eat so many snacks during the day. Avoiding the extra snacks helps you to lose weight.

If you do snack, eat healthy snacks like baby carrots, or dried fruit and no dips.

The evening meal you should start and reduce the size or portion of each food. A major yet simple thing to do is to chew your food at least 30 chews per mouthful. This will help you digest the food better, your general health will be better because your body will be absorbing all of the nutrients so much better.

A couple of quick points to help anyone lose weight, but remember it is not going to happen overnight, you did not gain the extra weight in a week, are:

1. Chew each mouthfull at least 30 times.

2. Walk up the stairs even if only one flight to begin. They have races up the tallest buildings in many of the big cities of the world. You do not have to try that straight up but maybe that can be a motivating point for you.

3. Use your mind to visualize how you will look when you lose all of the weight you want.

4. Think about losing weight every minute you have spare. If you think about what you want you will get it.

5. Habits need 21 days to change. Plan for 21 days to get up 15 minutes earlier each day to go for a walk before your big breakfast.

6. Put up a picture of your head and then under it put a picture of a slimmer body, yourself when you were lighter. See yourself after you lose all of the weight you have planed.

There are lots of little things that you can do to help lose weight.. Do not sweat on trying to achieve the big things just do a couple of little things each day. Over time you will find that you will lose weight. Never give up on your goal to lose weight.
