Why does anyone want to lose weight? It is really a personal issue. For me I wanted to lose weight because my wife said that I have a fat belly.
So what have I done to lose weight to please my wife?
Well the first thing I did was to stop eating chocolate. We had this so called healthy chocolate. I am a little sceptical now about the claims. I used to have one nugget every day, OK sometimes two, and I put on weight when the info said that I could lose weight eating this healthy chocolate.
Next I started to do some exercises first thing in the morning when I got up. Nothing too strenuous, a few arm circles forward and back, a few side stretches with the arms pushing down to the knees, a few squats and hold. Next I would lie on my back on the bedroom floor and do a few crunches, about 30 or 40 bike cycles with my legs, a few toe touches (actually I haven't been able to touch them yet) with my legs as straight as I could get them above my stomach, then I would sit up and do some crossover toe touching about 10 each set of toes.
That was where I started, nothing too stenuous, I never broke into a sweat. Today about four months down the track I have actually lost about 14 pounds, waist line has shrunk a bit, stomach not so flabby. My wife thinks I look better and because of that I feel good.
Four months it took me to lose 14 pounds. I figure I only need to lose another three pounds and I will be trim taught and terrific. Now I have actually doubled the number of repitions for each exercise. Losing weight is a gradual process just like the exercise component.
So whatever your reason to lose weight just take it easy and do not try and lose it all in a week or two. It is a life changing decision so make the decision to keep on the path of losing weight an easier decision with small incremental steps. That way you do not experience so much pain.
